Our base is in a secluded spot, about 45 minutes west of Stavanger. Getting here is part of the adventure, and we’ve got you covered with this handy guide to all your transportation options.
Whether you’re a bus enthusiast, a cycling fanatic, or prefer the comfort of a car, we’ll help you find the perfect way to reach us.
Hop aboard and enjoy the scenic ride! Here are two bus options to kickstart your fjord adventure:
Bus + pickup from Jørpeland
Step 1: Your journey starts at Stavanger Byterminalen (bus station). See in Google Maps
Step 2: Head over to the Kolumbus website and check out the bus schedules. This will help planning your trip with ease!
Step 3: Grab your ticket using the Kolumbus Billett app (the cheapest option) or pay on the bus.
Step 4: Find bus terminal number 6 and hop on bus number 100. Destination: Jørpeland Kyrkje. Stops will be announced in the bus.
Step 5: From Jørpeland Kirke, it’s a quick 6-minute walk to the Tourist Information Office, where you can be picked up by Nordic Paddling. Pre-booking is required!

Step 6: Look for our van with the “Nordic Paddling Pick-up” sign at the Tourist Information Office.

Step 7: After your paddling adventure, we’ll bring you back to the Tourist Information Office. From there, it’s a short walk to the Langelandsstien bus stop to catch your ride back to Stavanger.

Important Notes:
- When you book your kayaking trip on our website, be sure to pre-book the pick-up service. There will be no pick-up otherwise. Cut-off time for booking pickup is 24 hours prior. If trying to book on a shorter notice, call us at (+47) 48 29 18 82 in our opening hours.
- Please arrive on time for your pick-up. We want to get you out on the water and keep our tours running smoothly!
Cost:
Bus Stavanger->Jørpeland (one way): 80kr/prs.
Duration:
Approximately one hour (one-way) in total: Stavanger to Jørpeland: 40 min + Jørpeland to our kayak base: 20 min.
If you have your own car, this is a convenient and cost-effective way to reach us. In Google Maps, search for “Nordic Paddling”. Our office is at Fossmorkvegen 380, but our day tours starts here. You can also get directions at the bottom of our webpage.
If you haven’t got your own car, there are a few rental options available:
Car Rental Companies: You’ll find plenty of options in Stavanger, Sandnes, and Sola Airport. Here are a few to get you started:

Important Notes:
- We have plenty of parking spaces available at our location. Please be sure to arrive 10 minutes before departure.
- We recommend going through the Ryfast Tunnel to avoid long queues at the ferry dock (Lauvvik-Oanes). Ryfast is by the way the world’s deepest underwater tunnel!
Cost: Depending on your route the costs are:
- Ferry tickets: 160kr
- Ryfast tunnel fees: approx. 200kr
